Creating competition so the 4th/5th guys will be strong and could/probably will still select a CB within the first 3 rounds.

I'm glad we can cut Sherrick McManis and Kyle Fuller now.

Fuller still has a good shot to make the team. He's an option at CB, NB, and S. He has talent and could make plays but it's about finding his best role. I like either at NB or S. I think he'll probably make it.

I predict he will be traded during the draft.

Similar to when Pace went out and landed two Starting caliber LBs when it was determined that it was our weakest position. The secondary was clearly the weak link last year, so Pace is going after starting caliber guys.

He did not overpay for the top tier guys, so he was able to improve the secondary by getting a couple of starters, and some depth.

We are not one player away from competing for a championship and that is why you can not get into a bidding war.

Love this signing. Pace is signing young players about to enter their prime. We have a ton of depth at DB...everyone will make eachother better. Bears arnt drafting a CB or maybe even a S @ 3. I think Fangio/Pace think Deiondre Hall or Kyle Fuller could become our starting safety next to Demps.

Demps is in his 30s, I would say it is more likely if they are planning on converting a CB to S, that they take the year to learn behind Demps and start a highly drafted rookie with more recent experience at S this year.

Demps / Adams being backed up by Fuller / Amos is a lot stronger than Demps / Fuller, Amos or Hall. And then you are prepared for the future.

Possible. But considering how deep this draft is at corner, what is anybody going to give up for him? Unless Pace is willing to give him up for a 6th or 7th rounder, which IMO would be a bad move, there probably won't be a market for him. He's more valuable to the Bears as depth/competition. A talented player with a lot to prove in a make or break it year, who also has position versatility is more valuable than a mid-late round pick.
