I think it should be made clear that while I'm throwing the bachelor party, I am not getting married anytime soon.

even better. just tell me when and where. Hell, you could throw a monthly bachelor party if you wanted. I'm still in.

Not sure how helpful this will be, but we're finalizing some plans for my buddy's bachelor party and it's looking like this: 3 hours food and open bar at a local joint, party bus (open bar and perhaps a stripper if we get enough guests) to the strip club, and open bar at the strip club (bus back to starting location). We figure with 30 guys it would run everyone about $75 for the bus and open bars, extras (see lap dances) are all on the individual - save for the groom of course - and there will be a sliding scale of cost if we end up short of our guest quota. Now, we're all relatively poor, but it seems like this is a fairly reasonable (i.e. not particularly substantial) burden to ask of the participants considering it's probably considerably less than they will each cost the bride/groom/families to actually attend the wedding itself.
