Amazing set of movies, as far as trilogies go I think it is only behind star wars (original) and the Indiana Jones Trilogy

It took so long for that second movie to be made. I was overly excited when it finally came out.

If I was making a BHP essential top 100 deserted island favorites, BTTF would be on the list.

Does the top 100 include a movie about poop? Getting enough fiber might be difficult on a deserted island.

I feel like in this crazy world. If people just watched the "Back to the Future" series. The world would be a better place.

Believe it or not, not everyone likes BTTF. Crazy, I know, but I've met one. Some people have also never seen "The Goonies."

No matter what it is you'll always have some asshole who won't like it. They're not perfect films, but they are great films that seem to cater to almost every audience. It's also one of the few film series where the sequels aren't a big drop off.

I've never seen E.T. :yep:

Make sure you watch the original. IMO it's more hype that actually being good, like watching Avatar. But if you do watch it, avoid the 2002 edit, this one makes ET a CGI mess and somehow things look even more fake than before. You'll know the original from the edit ONLY if you get a copy yourself, as they play the inferior version on TV.

Elijah wood was in BTF 2... he was one of the little kids in the dinner when Marty plays the shooting game.

Great friggin movie. my absolute, all time favorite moment of Christopher lloyds career is the sound and face he makes in this scene...

Fox was always the number one choice. Macchio turned the role down (what a butthead). After him, the finalists were Stoltz and Howell. The other buttheads never had much of a chance. I heard Depp did a read, wasn't really considered. Cusack was considered. Zemeckis and Spielberg wanted Fox so bad that I think every other option would've suffered the same fate as Stoltz. Butthead.

Stoltz was actually cast and after they started filming he, Zemeckis and Spielberg all realized he wasn't right for the role.

ET never impressed me (as a child or as an adult). It's not a bad movie by any means but it is definitely overhyped like a lot of Spielberg's movies.
