Pittsburgh was interested too. He's an upgrade over Clausen, so whatever.
People are going to be upset that we didn't draft a QB, but this is our best option now.

Didn't Hoyer have like 7 picks in that Chiefs game? Yuck.

Hoyer is terrible.

Anyone want to take any bets on whether Fales beats out Hoyer for the backup job in the preseason? I'm betting on Fales.

Don't get me wrong, I like Cutler, but damn....I thought at some point we gotta start drafting his replacement. Unless they have faith in Fales. I liked him a couple of years ago in that one preseason game. Let's hope he has improved.

There was not one single QB in this draft I would have wanted at the point at which they were drafted.

I swear to God people think the only game Hoyer played was the Chiefs game in the playoffs. He's had a lot of decent games and this is a good signing for a back-up.

Six teams were interested, but in the end, Brian Hoyer agreed to terms on a deal with the Bears. (via @caplannfl)

Bears gave former Texans QB Brian Hoyer a one-year deal.

I don't want someone that is capable of playing that awful in a playoff game. Would much rather let Fales be the #2.

Say what you want, but that playoff game wasn't a representation of his normal production.

Last year he had a 61% completion rate through 11 games with 19 TD and 7 ints. He finished with a 91.4 QBR according to the NFL website.

I'll take that for a backup any day.
