Just found this deal and got one. Thought I would share. Shit is discounted $450.

Its a 13.3in utlrabook, only .7 in thick. It has a Intel Core i7-3517U 1.9GHz - 3.0 and NVIDIA Geforce GT 620M gpu. Also has 1920 x 1080 resolution. 256 gig SSD.

Thats right, an ultrabook with discrete graphics, HD screen, and 7 hour battery life.

well, good news is that the ssd and ram are not soldered in like a lot of ultrabooks and are very very easily user upgraded. I got a 8 gig ram stick to put in there.

But we are in the era of SSD's now and 256 is pretty standard.

And you can't get these refurbished, they pretty new. There are a lot of zenbook models so maybe older ones. But just try and find a 13 inch ultrbrook with an HD screen and discrete gpu. You can't find them for less than 1500-1700 bucks.

Must be another zenbook then I was looking at. I just got an Asus ultrabook today.

Yeah, I've got a desktop that pretty nice, obviously faster and such than most laptops by nature, so it's hard to justify getting a laptop.

PS, what's a "big desktop replacement laptop"?

Like a 2.5 inch thick, 8lb beast. It had a quad processor and nvidia gtx 460 2 gig gpu.

That's kind of cool, but seems complicated as far as company proprietary info and stuff.

I try not to travel so much so I don't really need a laptop for work.
