I am just really pulling for Vereen to make strides in camp so he can hold down the FS job. Conte can back him up....please.
Mundy did a decent job in N.Y. last year so I hope he starts at SS. This is the competition I really want to see

I agree. I'd like to see him succeed but not ready to proclaim him the starting FS like some here.

I don't get how he's already being penciled in as the starter. What has he done in shorts and no pads to warrant this?

He wouldn't be the first rookie Safety to start for the Bears... Alfalava and Wright.

Bears traded up, at the cost of two 5th round picks, to get Vereen. He's strong, smart and fast. I think he starts.

Mundy played quite well last year. Bears gave him a 2yr contract. I think he starts. Besides Vereen's inexperience, I think that's a solid Safety group.
