I was messing with the ESPN Playoff Machine and if the Bears win the last 4 games, which is certainly not undoable, they could get a playoff spot.

@ Browns 8-5
Cardinals 3-10
Falcons 6-7
@ Packers 6-7

Odds makers put Bears -2.5 pts below Browns.
Browns, Falcons and Packers will be competitive, but I like the Bears to win out.

With the Playoff Machine, if you select the Win Percentage, that gives wins to all the teams with better records for all remaining game matchups. Then if you edit the Bears to win out, Bears are the 6th seed. That's not crazy talk.

I'm in on the optimism and whimsical fantasy you're selling. And...AND if we have to face Detroit in the first round of the playoffs, I'm sniffing a playoff win as well!

I'd favor the Bears over Detroit there too. Bears got some lucky Lion WR drops last game, but I still think they looked the better team.

Bears offense still seems to be improving, pivoting on Fields.

Not gonna think about the NFC South because they all fucking suck.

Seahawks need to lose to Tennessee, Levis gives us a chance. Philly gets right this week against them.

Rams rout Washington, probably beat the Saints but maybe NYG can pull one off for us and SF stomps them.

Vikings might go 0-4 or 4-0 if the Lions keep on sucking. I'd say they beat GB & lose to Cincy and split against Detroit.

GB better beat Carolina, honestly I would prefer that they won that game and we got the first overall pick them losing the game was going to be the difference in us making the playoffs or not. Love sucks, **** them.

We're probably not making it but it's fun to see us try and win out anyways.

There already was an analysis by butterball biggs on what needs to happen.....basically too much to start thinking about now but the bears do need to go 4-0 to have any shot

(although cincy over minn sat would be a start.....den over det might not matter much in long run but wouldn't hurt, plus fuk Detroit)

Just to play in December for something is cool.

With not stupids losses to Denver and lions, together with the bad called first three games. Imagine 😎

Maybe, just maybe, team is better than we thought (definitely since sweat arrived)

At the beginning of the season, I had said that I thought this team was an 8-9 win team, with them struggling early to find their footing and then finding it later in the season for a 2022 Lions-esque season. We're on a 2-game win streak, and finishing up 3-1 in these last 4 means we would have ended up 5-1 in our last 6 to go 8-9. I think that would qualify as quite a lovely prediction on my part! Yay me (if it happens)!

Nonetheless, I only say that because playoffs or not, I think you could consider that a successful season coming off last year's 3 wins, which certainly makes the decision whether or not to retain Eberflus/Fields all the more challenging.

need help from other teams

!!VIKINGS MUST LOSE SATURDAY!!

The Joshua Dobbs experiment appears to be over already, having that one decent game wasn't enough for him to be demoted to 3rd string, ouch!

imagine bears win out and face the Lions first round

how hard will @nc0gnet0 be sweating at that point?!
It'd be pretty fucking hilarious to see us somehow make the playoffs and beat the Lions during their dream season to prevent them from winning a playoff game for the first in however many years. Montgomery would not be a happy camper.

This might be the most hope Bears fans will have for the playoffs this season.

Enjoy the feeling.
More hope than I was expecting, considering the start to the season. Still don’t see it, but getting wins regardless will hopefully help going into next year

that would only make Bears the HOTTEST team going in with a ton of momentum.

I think they'll lose to CLE, and then win the next 3. Record wise that would put them about where most people were predicting before the season started. A huge jump compared to last season. And that's not counting 2 games they absolutely should have won. Future looks bright.

It would depend on how we looked in those wins. Did we squeak a win out against the Browns because they're so injury riddled? Does the offense still just barely do enough? Or does the offense look like it's finally catching up to the defense and we have some impressive victories, perhaps capped by a big win in game 17 at Lambeau field. That would be a statement win.

It's the Bear. I'm so prepared to to have my rope snap when I've almost reached the ledge.

id rather finish 1-3 with the 1 win at GB than finish 3-1 and have the 1 loss at GB lol
