I guess Pace wants to get rid of all our offensive weapons.

What part of obvious rebuild hasn't sunk in yet?

Bennett is trying to leverage the Bears because there's no decent replacement behind him and there's no talent in the draft. Bears don 't have the cap space so they'll off load him via trade rather than set a precedent of letting guys sit out for more money. Cutler's deal fucked it up for everyone.

Bennett has no guaranteed money left on the deal he signed with the Bears in 2013.

trade his ass away, if he can garner a late 2nd then definetly do it, a run heavy offense really doesn't need a loud mouth receiving TE with inconsistent blocking.

Bears entertaining trade offers for Pro Bowl TE Martellus Bennett, per league sources. Bennett wants a new contract in Chicago or anywhere.

They just talked about it on NFL Insiders.

We do not have any good TEs behind him on the roster. This would be a big loss.

Well i would have to think they would be planning on drafting either Max Williams who's being talked about as a Jason Wiiten type or the kid from Miami C.Walford with a 2nd round pick which we just might be able to get for Bennett. He had a hell of a year and teams love TE's.

I'm thinking around a 3rd rd pick. Bennett was not happy with his contract last season (when he was joking or not so joking with Emery).

This. The Bears can get a 3rd round pick for him. Nothing higher. And I certainly wouldn't trade him for anything lower.

If a team offers a 2nd or 3rd round pick I am moving him.

Good player, a bit of a headache, and wants a new contract.

What did they say, anything different?

Nope they just said that they were looking into trading him and might be upset with him for not showing up to the workouts.

If we trade him away, I think it definitely points us in the direction of drafting a top WR in the first round to add to the offense. Having another good wideout to add to the mix can make losing Bennett not as important, while also being able to add a young prospect during the middle rds like you mentioned. Given that, I think Bennett sticks around.

New GM, guys are trying to push him around and use a transition to get more money.

I hope Pace stands firm on Forte and Bennett.

I disagree with those that don't think there's any good options in the draft cause i think Max Williams will be a great TE in the NFL and i actually put him in a mock i did on here although most laughed at me about it. LOl
I also like Walford from Miami and Heuerman from Ohio St.

Could be that or who knows it could be they're thinking about going RB early and going with the blocking TE's?? Fox is all about the running game and with them taking away not only BMarsh but now Bennett as well this could open up many other options.

Maybe I'm missing the point here, but I'm not seeing how Cutler's deal fucked it up for everyone. Cutler didn't hold out/sit out, Emery virtually threw the money at him. Bennett is pulling a strong arm tactic, but at the end of the day, he's a TE in an offense that may or may not highly value his skills.

Yep. It's obvious that Pace and Fox have a plan that none of us or any insider knows about and i don't think it will come out until we see it happening for ourselves.

Defense and running game.
