pace is really bad at this.

Didn't pickup fullers option. Had to overpay after a good season and letting packers set the market. If he had pick up the option, they negotiations would have been easier.

Pickuped up floyds and then rescinded. Had a good season at LA and his replacement sucks in chicago.

How soon some forget.

Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing? Unfortunately a GM can't use hindsight and has to make the decisions in real time.

Floyd didn’t work out, but if anyone remembers that draft and the players bunched in that vicinity, it wasn’t a bad pick. Just didn’t work out. It happens.
Still wasn't a bad pick cause Floyd looked legit last year and got paid because of it. Seems like our coaches couldn't get what the Rams coaches could out of Floyd.

No GM is perfect, but some have more hits than misses overall...draft, free agency, and especially at the draft positions and player positions that matter most. Pace hasn’t shown himself to be one of those.

edit- an equivalent is the coach and his decision making during game time. Well Pace in the most important moments for his position has made some very bad decisions.

Technicality. He didn’t follow through with 5th year option, cause he’s an idiot.

I liked Floyd, but there is hardly anyone who would say he lived up to his draft position.

edit- but I will admit he could recind roquan’s as well. Lmao
I believe they are changing this rule. 5th year option will be fully guaranteed moving forward.

not the point. Pace didn’t pick up Floyd’s 5th year option. So he f’d up on top of f’ing up.

Roquan was his first option pick up.
It's hard for me to say that was a fuck up giving that Floyd didn't do a 10th of what he did with the Rams here and there was no indication he ever would.

Khalil Mack hasn't been Khalil Mack ever since the Raiders neutralized him 2 years ago and Floyd on the other hand has been benefiting from the Aaron Donald effect.

The fuck up on top of fuck up was releasing Floyd for Quinn. Floyd was more productive than quinn here even if not as productive as he was with LA. Less expensive as well.

could just be the switch in teams like you said...for a defensive team we should be doing much better. Hopefully Desai gives everyone a bucket of fire and passion

Taylor Decker, Shaq Lawson, and Will Fuller were all drafted after Floyd

I get it. My point is at the time it was a good pick that made sense.

Imagine the heart attacks that would be going on here if he had taken both Solomon Thomas and Reuben Foster, passed on Watson and Mahomes (like Pace did) and drafting CJ Beathard in the 3rd.
