Which is a tad ironic it you think about it. All the years of drafting sub par safeties and the revolving door.now comes this year, in which, we really don't need one but its supposed to be possibility the deepest safety class ever.

I don't think they are world beaters, but I really have enjoyed what I have seen from Major Wright and Chris Conte when they are both healthy and on the field together... really a nice young tandem if you ask me.

I agree with us on Conte. Wright has made strides but is still inconsistent. Hardin was drafted for a reason. I believe it was to push Wright or take his job all together. Before last season, wright was a liability on the backend.

Zbikowski was the Colts starting SS for 11 games last year; had 5 PD,1 Int,1 sack, 27 tackles. Not sure how many tackles were ST. He was a good punt returner in college, and did some returns for the Ravens. But none for the Colts.

It's an odd signing, considering we have backups Steltz and Hardin.

I don't know who should be more worried, Steltz or Hardin. Steltz has played S well in relief for the Bears. Being all three are likely to play ST, Bears would carry 5 Safeties. The signing could mean Hardin may be tried at NB. Still, with vet min, Bears don't lose anything by cutting the worst S after training camp (besides the other pay).

I don't think Hester and Weems are worried. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him take some returns in preseason.
