I'd say there are about........32 teams who are two good drafts and FA signings from being in the hunt.
31 teams. You forgot the Lions are still in the NFL.

Yeah, sign Hicks so he can get hurt 2-3 weeks before you want to trade him lol.
I agree but it's too bad. He'd probably make a good 3 tech if he could keep his legs under him.

so your "logic" says the Super Winner and Runner Up, plus the other 12 teams in the playoffs are 2 years away FROM BEING IN THE HUNT? Thanks, don't know how I missed that. BTW....sounds like you're from the Joe Biden school of comprehension. Congrats on such an honor. thanks again for your Epiphany. lay = laughing AT you!!!

Yep

They could dump most of their team and be 2 good drafts and fa away from being right back in the hunt

Unless you missed how annually, approx 50% of the playoff field missed the playoffs the year before...or how there's almost always a worst to first division winner

You have A Six win team with the oldest roster in the NFL. Sell! Sell! Sell! Converting back to a Lovie like 4-3 means a lot of these guys are expendable. No offensive threats besides Mooney and no line. An average RB, 3.8 yards per carry in Montgomery to boot, who averaged less yards per carry than 6th round rookie Herbert out of Oregon..I’d trade Mack, Quinn, and pending free agent Montgomery. Look at Elliot Barkley howard examples. Don’t pay a RB big money draft them and start them then trade them before the big contract . Cowboys and Giants are stupid, Cooper will be a Bear. After trading Quinn Mack and Montgomery the bears can have:

2nd round: 3 picks
3rd round: 3 picks
4th round: 1 pick
5th round: 2 picks
6th round: 1 pick

If they're in retool mode this year then selling mack/monty makes sense....if anyone wants them and what they're paying is a different story (Mack would return a decent amount if the bears paid his bonus...monty, be lucky to fetch a 4th or 5th
