It's amusing to me that people think the Broncos had a great staff.

You guys know Gase cut his teeth with the Lions on some of their crappiest offenses ever.

And then went on to the 49ers where their offense was complete crap.

And then went on to the Broncos where their offense was complete crap.

And then thy got Manning...

My initial thought is this is an excellent hire because this guy had his start under Ted Sundquist and then was retained through the Elway front office which means he's come up in two very successful scouting environments.

I think you are right.

These front office guys you have to look at who they worked with and worked under. Those experiences are so valuable, it is why everyone sniffs around Ozzie Newsomes staff each year.

So who knows what not to do?

You are assigning a lot of blame to a assistant WRs coach and then eventually a WR coach.

The truth is he could be a savant who is starting to get his chance, he is 37 it is no like he has not gotten a chance for 39 years and we are expecting him to all of a sudden be great. He is young and developing.

He was great in his day, but the past couple years he has lost a step and doesn't stay with the top WR's.

He is lucky that he is coming into a two-year rebuilding project, Bears fans are forced to be patient while we accumulate more young talent over the next couple years. He has time to look for a new, young QB while he builds a playbook fitting our other young talent.
