It looked like an INT to me. You can hardly say the Bears were "jobbed" out of an incompletion. It was a terrible pass and the corner made a great play on it.

Not to me.

Mike Pereira's opinion is the one I am going with.

It bounced off the ground, which means it was incomplete. That's the rule. Just like Peppers' hit to the helmet was against the rule.

While watching the game, my friend and I (the only two watching the game who really follow football) both thought the ball touched the ground and was bobbled as he rolled over. When Pereira echoed the thought, we were sure it would be overturned. The guy pretty much always gets it right.

And then they kept the on field call AND spotted the ball in the wrong place. They got it wrong, IMO.

It hits his left arm and he secures it. It was an interception.

They should have moved the ball back to where he originally landed since Knox touched him though.

Except it didn't.

Do you realize that we are basing our opinion around Mike Pereira saying it wasn't an interception.

If it was thedude33 saying it wasn't an INT, I might be skeptical but when the head of officiating says it wasn't an INT, I will believe that guy 10 times out of 10.

I fully understand that. However I'm looking at the footage and it never touches the ground. Let's not be those fans who believe all the calls are going against us. Sometimes it's just the right call.

The difference is the head of officiating is saying that it shouldn't have been an INT.

This isn't unfounded "oh we never get the call" discussion. It's Mike Pereira

Former head of officiating for what it's worth. I get it. He's well educated on the subject. That doesn't make him infallible. If you look at the video the ball never touches the ground.

Then do so. I just don't see where that ball touches the ground and apparently neither did the referees.

Probably because the guy who made that highlight video cut off the shot of the ball hitting the ground because that would, you know, ruin the highlight.

The NFL is kinda tight with it's videos. I guess we could all look at the file in the donator thread since you people don't want to take thedude33's word for it.
