Calm down on leatherwood bro. He played like 3/4 of a game well. Even that scrub hemorrhoid grasu had a couple good games for us
All I’m saying about Learherwood is IF. That’s all. If he is able to lock down the RT, I’d still want Jenkins since he can play RT, G, and C. So, if Learherwood doesn’t work out, put Jenkins there.

Yeah. The two biggest holes on our line are RT and C. If, and it is a big IF, Leatherwood pans out, we could put Jenkins at C. We wouldn’t have to sign two high priced FA for the OL.

Yes. It would be paying top dollar for a C, but it would close two holes on the line.

He hasn't played there. It takes some unique skills to do that well. Being able to and actually improving the overall line play are 2 different things. If it was that easy, Mustipher would already be gone.

Man I forgot about that guy (Grasu) he was brutal. How long ago did kreutz retire and they have yet to replace him, Garza held it down for a minute I guess.

Grasu is still in league.

An encouraging aspect to Leatherwood is Josh McDaniels cut him, which increases the chance of finding a gem imo, but still low probability

He does have some NFL experience at center. And 26 starts there in college. In the NFL he’s played everything.

While some may have possessed the necessary skills to play tackle, guard or center, nobody has been put to the test quite like Elgton Jenkins through the first 10 games of the 2020 season.
The former second-round pick currently leads the Packers with 664 offensive snaps played. Most of that work has come at his primary position of left guard, but he also made a spot start at right tackle in Green Bay's opener in Minnesota and filled in at left tackle in the second half against San Francisco on Nov. 5.
This past Sunday, after center Corey Linsley was forced from the game with a back injury after only 10 plays, the Packers asked Jenkins to slide back to center – a position he hadn't played meaningful snaps at since his senior year at Mississippi State.
"Elgton, I mean the fact that he can anywhere on the offensive line is absolutely incredible," Head Coach Matt LaFleur said. "I've never been around somebody like that who has that ability."
My emphasis. He has played it. He did a very good job. He has the potential to play C, LG, and RT.
