Among the many questions I have here, the most pressing is why would you give a 5 year $36m contract to a player who has 623 yards and 6 TDs over a three year career?

Also Amukamara will cost more than twice that.

Trey Burton is not worth that. He signed a one year deal with the Eagles for 2 million and now that he has 248 yards he is worth elite money?

5 years 20 million is more suitable.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Trey Burton is expected to land a "significant deal" this offseason, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

That's pretty vague.

But is there a reason why the Bears should give him a deal like that with the numerous other need they have?

What is with the Trey Burton obsession? He's is in more mocks then not. Don't we already have a 2nd rounder in Shaheen that is talented enough? I don't see the point in cutting Sims only to go out and spend more on another TE who is going to produce similar numbers and take PT away from Shaheen.

I like the draft you came up with, I like the free agency but 5 years for P.Rich is a lot of years with the injury history he has and that's too much money for T.Burton and i like the re-signings but you have guys like Amukamara and B.Callahan and few others getting underpaid, and the only OLB left on our roster would be L.Floyd since you're cutting or not bringing back P.McPhee, W.Young, L.Houston and S.Acho so that's a lot of re=tooling to OLB.

Crazy thing. You can actually play 2 TEs at the same time. Burton is a speed mismatch at TE. Shaheen is a size mismatch. I think you can work wonders with Shaheen in-line and Burton in the slot. KC ran a lot of 5-wide, but it was basically 3 WR, 1 TE, and 1 RB all split out. That's not Shaheen's strength to be split out against what is likely a safety as the defense will certainly be in the nickel if not dime. There'd be plenty of snaps with Shaheen on the first 2 downs and Burton on 3rd, though obviously neither is locked into only those downs/situations.

That being said, that's way too much for Burton.

Amukamara got paid 7 million by the Bears this year. 3.5Mil signing bonus. So he takes 2.5Mil to come back?

Who is
Rashaad Coward? He is not listed anywhere in your drafted players. An undrafted FA maybe?

Paul fucking Richardson is the big FA signing?? And we still have 38 million in cap! Also I think Paul would be the #4 WR not the number 1.

As far as your draft, it’s pretty weak with zero impact players. At best Nelson is equal to the guy that you are cutting to make room for him. The team doesn’t actually improve with the Nelson pick. It just gets younger. Not a very good use of the #8 pick with so many difference makers available

solid mock, your banking a lot of hope on attaochu and armstrong as the depth behind him are anderson and irving...i dont think anderson has played outside and irving showed nothing when called up...Attaochu has had a lot of injuries which is why you gave him a small deal, relying on him and a 2nd rd draft pick to pick up the slack opposite floyd for a full season is asking for a lot...I would personally bring back houston who looked great on his second stint and wouldnt cost much more than the vet min.

I don't think we go into the draft without both Sitton and/or Compton. It's not how Pace operates.

not many options out there in free agency...very high percentage that robinson, watkins stay with their respective teams...gordon i believe has only accrued 2 seasons so he wont be available. Landry could be an option but his asking price of 15mill to be a slot player is a little much especially in nagy's scheme that spreads the ball around.

This is a good idea. I was just throwing out ideas. I think I’ll stick with just drafts.

Yep, some players won't get cut until Pace gets a replacement for that player. Like if he has Sitton as a player that he would cut he wouldn't actually cut him until he either knows he can replace him or he actually replaces him and the same will go for some other players like M.Cooper. If he doesn't get K.Fuller re-signed as well as another legit CB like Amukamara or someone else then he might keep Cooper. I'm not as down on Cooper as most if not everyone else is on here. He obviously didn't play well for all but one game that i remember him playing very well which was one of our first 3-4 games. A lot of times people on here overlook things like he was coming into a new team with new players playing next to him in a new system he had to learn and new coaches which is gonna take time for all of that. Then later in the year he would not play in 4-5 or however many games and then have to play in a game after sitting that long and people expect him to just jump right into playing a great game after sitting for 4 or 5 games and it just doesn't work like that unless you're an elite level CB and he's not that. He's not getting paid a lot either which i think is like 4 or 5 mil per. Not saying i wouldn't rather they upgrade over him but i am saying if he had to be our #2 CB i wouldn't mind it as much as everyone else on here would.

Yes i know.........paragraphs...........deal with it.

Most here just remember Cooper acting like an idiot at the goal line and costing the team 4 points. The image of him showboating really sticks in a persons minds.
