I agree with you on Cooper, I really liked the signing last offseason. He had a really good game against the Steelers and then kinda disappeared. I think at his price and our cap situation, he is still worth a roster spot. He is a low risk high reward player.

If by 'low risk high reward' you mean that he sucks and is overpaid, then I agree. He's terrible in coverage and makes over $5mil per year.

I would start the Amukamara negotiation by offering him Cooper's contract ($16m over 3 years with about $7m guaranteed).

not many options out there in free agency...very high percentage that robinson, watkins stay with their respective teams...gordon i believe has only accrued 2 seasons so he wont be available. Landry could be an option but his asking price of 15mill to be a slot player is a little much especially in nagy's scheme that spreads the ball around.

Here is my top choices of FA in position of need.

Josh Gordon, Cleveland WR
Jarvis Landry, Miami WR
Allen Robinson, Jacksonville WR
Ezekiel Ansah, Detroit DE
DeMarcus Lawrence, Dallas DE
Adrian Clayborn, Alanta DE
Avery Williamson, Tennessee ILB
Junior Galette, Washington OLB
Nigel Bradham, Philadelphia OLB
Trumaine Johnson, Rams CB
Aaron Colvin, JacksonVille CB
Nickell Robey-Coleman, Rams CB
Byron Maxwell, Seattle, CB
Nate Solder, New England LT
Cameron Fleming, New England OT
Ja'Wuan James, Miami RT
Andrew Norwell, Carolina G
Zach Fulton, Kanas City G
Chris Hubbard, Pittsburgh G

hubbard, fulton, fleming, galette are the only options i see for the bears...
pace will most likely get a cheap deal done with prince, i'd imagine a 2yr deal of what hes getting paid now, he will resign or tag fuller. CB is no longer a need in free agency.
if coughlin wasnt the football guy in jacksonville i could have seen robinson get away but no way they let him go...gordon is also not a free agent unless there was some new development recently.
ansah will take a 1yr deal to rehab his value, i dont see him switching to a 3-4OLB role and gambling on his future payout. lawrence will get tagged by cowboys,
james is not free agent, dolphins exercised his 5th yr option, norwell will be highest paid guard this offseason.
solder could be an option but i dont see him leaving NE

The contract money is mostly off but appreciate the effort.

Burton would be a nice signing. He's not really an in-line TE like Shaheen, more in the mold of Jordan Reed. They can move him around and he's probably an upgrade over Daniel Brown. More targets for Trubisky to work with, can't complain. Also gives Nagy and company some double TE sets to tinker around with.

I'd have D.Lawrence on top and i keep forgetting about A.Clayborn who could be a nice addition. I love J.Gordon and when he's active he's a top 7-8 WR in the NFL. I don't think N.Bradham plays OLB in a 3-4 right?

Me either, at least not until Hiestand gets to work with him.

Were Hiestand and Grasu at Oregon together? If so then that surely would help.
