With the draft only 5 days away, who do you want to the Bears to draft? Which players are you high on? Who are your sleepers? The Bears may not pick until the 3rd round, but they still have needs to fill.

Bears Draft Needs:
FS
OG
DE
NT
CB
RT

I see this as our needs in order, though FS and OG are both pressing needs, and center isn't a big need. Beekman is likely the Bears Center when Kreutz retires, but I hope they draft Kristofer O'Dowd in next year's draft, he's a fantastic center.

I hope Nate Allen, Morgan Burnett, Reshad Jones, Chad Jones, or Myron Lewis are a Bear.

We really need to pick up a safety and WR.

While I'd love a tall WR, the Bears like what they have at receiver which likely means that they won't draft a WR. But the draft is always full of surprises

We need to adress the Safety position first and for most.

Offensive Line needs some work, and I wouldnt mind taking a shot on a Corner Back.

We need an offensive line and a secondary. Wouldn't be a bad idea to start grooming a replacement for Urlacher too. He's the real pussy. Not Cutler

Hey guys I'm brand new to this board and really excited about it! AS for the Bears draft, I'm hoping we go oline to protect cutler and get a vet saftey (i.e. otogwe/hamiln) off the UFA market!

Welcome to CCS
OJ Atogwe is an RFA and the Rams have the Right of First Refusal. The Rams want to sign him long-term, and any team that offers him a long-term deal is taking a risk because the Rams could match it. As for Hamlin, he's a decent FS, nothing more. He wouldn't solve the Bears gaping hole at FS IMO.

But I do agree that the Bears do need OG help.

Would love to get a veteran safety in Atogwe or Hamlin. It doesn't feel the same without Mike Brown back there.

Welcome to the board, hope you like it here :)

appreciate the love guys, thanks for making me feel welcome....

I agree that we need to draft a safety, my fear is in starting the rookie safety that we draft....

I think it might be a little easier to plug and play a guard like asomoah from illinois than to ask major wright, morgan burnett or Robert johnson of Utah to step right in and be the quarterback of our secondary.

thus i would rather emphasize O line early, get a safety later and get a stop gap vet to hold us over until the rook is developed

I agree here as well. The only way we get Atogwe is IF he is a FA after 6/1/10 OR we put a "Poison Pill" clause in our offer but teams don't want to do that anymore.

Atogwe would be a dream come true. With more pressure from Peppers, a healthy LB corp and the addition of a top FS, our defense has to be amongst the top.

Im still holding out hope that they find a way to trade up and get Nate Allen from SoFlo. If not I like Mike Johnson from Bama or Aso from Illinois. Im one of the believers that Omiyale can play RT and play it well.

I just dont want to see any more projects like Henry Melton.

i believe they will get saftey in third round and address the Line on both side of the ball the rest of the way.

We need to trade up into the 2nd round! That is the only thing that can save this draft.

The Bears should do some deal that moves them into the early 1st rd this year and do some kind of package with there 3rd pick and maybe a 2nd rd next year?

No, that would be a terrible idea. Don't sacrifice future picks to trade up. If anything, trade down for more picks
