And Lambert is the worst writer and biggest know nothing of SM. He says Pace never shows his hand about QB's, suggesting outside rumors about Wentz are proof of Pace not pursuing Wentz, then goes on to cite rumors about the Bears asking about Carr as proof that Pace is pursuing Carr.
He also says Wentz' contract is bloated while Carr's is chump change when both cap numbers are middle of the road to a team acquiring either player, literally next to each other at #14 and 15 of QB's in 2022.

In short he is an idiot.

Don't give up hope. By Erik Lamberts logic the Bears are a stone cold lock for Watson or Wilson since there has been zero rumors of Pace pursuing them.

I know no top 5 QB would want to ever come here so Carr has been my realistic choice here for some time. Get it done. He’s a solid smart hard working NFL starter. Probably the most competent QB I’d ever see in a bears uniform. Doesn’t have that insane raw talent but we have all seen who he is as a QB and it’s better than what we need.

I agree with you tho. Take a chance on trask in the 2nd or jamie newman in the 3rd if those are the only qb's we have a shot at. Either way, pace should be drafting a guy until he finds a guy.
