Steelers boards are all annoyed and disappointed that they aren’t trading him. I have yet to see any Steelers fans on any Steelers board that wants to keep Tomlin.

I think what’s key here is the no trade clause. Even if management wanted to trade him (even they wouldn’t because they just gave him an extension) he knows better than to go to the bears.

Fanbases are very stupid.

CCS is actually more level grounded than the bears fanbase in general, you go on reddit and its moron braindead groupthink.

That fanbase should trade him and see how terrible their next coach is.

I personally just dont want to give up draft capital(especially the amount it likely would take) for any coach.

Expect if he gets fired, that is moot. Fans want him fired and the fact that they like him so much that even a trade is out of the question has got to be annoying to them.

Imagine not being happy with winning.

Tomlin went .500/over .500 with trash at QB. If that was flus coaching that team they win 5 games

Oh I know. He would instantly become the most attractive coaching hire if he was let go. He has struggled in the playoffs once Big Ben became washed up and he has not had a good QB since. But he has his team playing over their heads year after year just to get to the playoffs.

Every coach in the world would struggle in the playoffs the moment their QB goes from a HoFer to a backup

Why their fanbase is dumb. This is a qb driven league and their QB's are ass cheeks

The Bears need to fix the offense and will not win until they fix it. Stop looking in the wrong places!

apparently Steelers management told the bears no, which is a sign that they don't agree with their fans, which is smart as following the wims of your fan base is the fastest way to disaster

you don't want Tomlin or MCCarthy, both with a winning history, and making the playoffs, talk about an entitled fan base

We prefer to stick with what we know well, making the playoffs once a decade

I cracks me up when bears fans say "mccarthy cant win in the playoffs".

Shit, i'd love to be a consistent playoff team...

The bears mgmt is si dumb they'd rather trade a boatload of picks for a guy who hasn't won a playoff game since Obama was president vs the same guy (only a better record and offensive hc) the Cowboys just let walk.

Neither should be in consideration but bears gonna bears

Trivia time:

Name the last HC to win a super bowl with two different org?

There’s a fair share of 9ers fans ready to ditch Shanny. To your point, yes, fan bases are stupid. Steelers need to make a real commitment to get a franchise QB. Otherwise, they’ll be stuck in NFL purgatory forever

this is the smartest move the Bears have done in years. They are looking for a winner and Tomlin would not have been cheap.

It actually gives me hope they are serious about getting a good coach this time.

Is Tomlin represented by Armstrong?
