I believe that Bushrod always grades out much higher in the run game than the pass game.

At least that is what they said when they signed him.

Bushrod's struggle has always been with outside speed, specifically with guys who can set him up and come inside. I don't think moving Bushrod to RT is out of the question, but he is still the best LT on the roster.

I can see that. He's just not a force on blocking. He does know his assignments and gets to the 2nd level and why I think he'd be fine at RT. He's definitely our best LT and I wouldn't expect Long to be able to supplant him...yet. I'd expect Long to become a force at RT even if he's not yet a spectacular run blocker either. He's still ascending. With Long, it appears to more about when than if.

He's good in one on one in space which is why the Bears had so many big runs to his side in Trestman's first year. They'd pitch it to Forte and have Bushrod pull out as a lead blocker. He's not nearly as good on the line when he has to drive guys straight ahead.

I really feel like the new media restrictions have just left us in the desert here. In past years there was just a ton of info coming out about minicamp, individual UDFAs, etc. I guess on the one hand, its nice to not have a Jordan Lynch sob story being tossed out constantly, but those Inside Rookie Minicamp Vids were neat to watch.
