Our beloved are getting off to a Fast Start Inking Loveland, Hyppolite, Frazier, Newman and Monangai to Rookie Deals. All receive 4 year deals except Loveland who had signed a deal that includes a fifth year option.

Now that WR Higgins - Texans(34th overall) is in the fold. That should lay the ground work for Burden to get his deal done. However not sure I agree with the full guarantees in Higgins deal. I suspect it wont be long before Luther, Ozzy & Shamar have there deals done as well.

First round and anything after 3rd round is easy as not a lot to negotiate. 2nd round is a bit trickier as some of them want some of the perks the 1st rounders get.

Houston made it worse by fully guaranteeing Higgins. First time ever that a 2nd rounder got that.

He references the value of TE vs premium positions, which is fair. He said “probably not” on if he would take one top 10. Though, he says you pay him top 3-5 TE money, which isn’t true of Loveland. I don’t think Loveland is even top 10 in AAV. There’s other stuff to consider too like premium TE availability. Teams don’t let them go.
