Nobody, but the talk to rile everyone up was there. So naturally people got excited.
And then you have a GM say everything is on the table while they go for the lowest hanging fruit.
Is it really that hard to understand why then once Dalton was announced ppl were not impressed?
You do understand, don’t act like you don’t.
Everything was on the table
They offered a very good package for Stafford - Lions did not want to trade within division and they rather have Goff than Foles
They offered a lot (more than I wish they did honestly) for Watson and Wilson and obviously the other team is not interested in trading their QB ... considering they have not yet been traded, the story checks out ok
They made an offer for Wentz, who was actually the worst QB in the league last year and has huge cap hit + always injured so they made the right play not over-paying for that guy who failed in the same system, is always injured, in a malcontent in the locker room and has a huge cap hit
They made an offer for Jameis Winston that again was not an overpay given his value is not the same ... and obviously he preferred re-signing with Saints
Dalton was next on the priority list and if they had failed to sign him, Mitch was probably next
Looks like they did go with everything on the table .... for every trade though the other team has to agree too
