Nick Williams, has earned an extension and some guaranteed money.
Cornelius Lucas, his play has earned him a pay bump and a chance to take Massie's job.
Patrick Scales
Kevin Pierre-Louis, I would try and get him on a 2 year deal to be the primary backup. [2 years 6 million]
Brent Urban, he has been solid and he is huge get him back for another year and leave the DL alone.
Nick K, he is younger, cheaper, and healthier than Trevathan.
DHC
Roy Robertson-Harris [2nd round]
Rashaad Coward [Original Round or short extension]
Alex Bars
Jesper Horsted
JP Holtz, I would offer him an extension based on his play. He is getting 1 year 610k as an ERFA I would offer him 3 years 4 million/1 guaranteed

Right Deal

Danny Trevathan
HHCD
Sherrick McManis, a lot of young CBs he would need to take a pay cut.
Deon Bush, I would be fine starting him at SS next year on a reasonable deal.

Basically agree with this but move Lynch to "Right Deal". He has been the only (relatively) productive backup OLB - with Irving being a scrub the Bears are desperately thin at depth there. If Lynch is willing to take another 1.4-1.5M a year contract, then he's decent value on a good contract for OLB depth.

I agree with almost all that, although I think the chances they keep Trevethan and HHCD are low. Also I think they could keep one of Irving or Lynch.

No way does KPL get that much $. That would make him in the top 30 for ILBs in per year salary. That's what Kwiat should get.

I meant 2 years 6 million total. 2-3 million per season.

I know, that would put him at 29th right now in terms of per year salary for ILBs. The dude is has been on 4 teams in 6 years and has had one good game this year. Kwiat should making just a bit more than that.

I think Lynch has been more detrimental than productive. I’ve never seen someone get called for offsides so often. Looking at him it is also hard to believe he is a LB and not DE or DT. Dude is so out of shape. He’s going to eat himself out of the league. He’s shown a lack of motivation throughout his career. If he had any drive or discipline, he’d likely be a very good player.

He has been good all season. He was good the game when Trevathan got hurt.

I am re-signing him with the thought that he is going to have to start some games if Roquan is slow to come back.

He's up there for offsides, for sure.

Roquan will be fine by May most likely.

Just don't see the need to pay him that. Maybe $3mil over 2 years.

If by relatively productive you are referring to his offsides penalties then I totqally agree. He has 6 defensive offsides/neutral zone infractions, good for 6th most in the league in penalties at OLB despit ranking below 200th in snaps as a LB.

Dudes sucks ass.

I think I'd let Trevathan go. It's not like he's a real step up from Kwiatkowski in pass anymore. They have similar speed and Nick's improved recognition is allowing similar coverage as well. I'd rather see those $ go elsewhere.

Re-sign ASAP

Nick Williams - Hicks/Goldman/Williams is going to be a horror show in 2020

Nick Kwik - Could not be having a better 2019...more please and thank you!

The Law Firm of Horsted & Holtz - Nagy should hold Ryan Pace at gunpoint till the ink is dry.

Re-signings I like

Bars & Coward - The OL needs an overhaul and they are welcomed competion.

Deon Bush - HaHa is good, but not great and I want Eddie Jackson back at FS. Bush gets a little money to compete for SS.

Kevin Pierre-Louis - Did you not see the Cowboys game?!?

Sherrick McManis - The only thing on ST that the Bears have done consecutively right is keep throwing McManis money.

Torn pecs are not easy to come back from at LB.

We need to keep our top quality backups. KPL has also flashed a little pass rush and he has been good on special teams. I would like to get him for 1.5, but I would be willing to go as high as 3 for a fast productive rotational player.
