Let’s be honest, this franchise doesn’t have the capability to get top candidates. Get ready for Joe Brady or Anthony Weaver.
My preference is not a 1st time coach, but Brady has a good pedigree. Weaver played for and coached with the Ravens. At least he'll know what a REAL NFL franchise looks like.Let’s be honest, this franchise doesn’t have the capability to get top candidates. Get ready for Joe Brady or Anthony Weaver.
Tank gawd ur hear 2 halp uhs owt.He never was.
Bears fans gaslighting themselves as usual.
Watch the Bear not offer him the gig.One thing that helps the Bears is the other available HC jobs are not super appealing.
Las Vegas and New Orleans have no solution at QB on the horizon and if you don't have a QB in the NFL you cannot compete.
The Jets have some talent on the team but they also have an aging Rodgers who is maybe the 15th best QB in the league at this point in his career. How many years does he have left? One, maybe two?
A weak division and Lawrence makes Jacksonville intriguing but he has underperformed up to this point in his career. Plus you play in Europe every single year and their GM makes that job less desirable.
New England is a good job with Drake Maye in place, the number ten pick and an owner who is eager to return the Patriots to their former glory. But, I think the Pats are going to hire Vrabel. He fits perfectly in New England.
That leaves the Bears, who have Caleb in place and some decent talent on the team, the number 10 pick along with two second round picks and a lot of cap space. The division is killer and ownership is perhaps the worst in the league.
Normally, I'd agree with you and say the Bears are not in line to get a top tier coaching candidate. But the weaknesses of the other HC jobs paired with the presence of Caleb in only year 2 of his rookie deal makes me say maybe this is the year fortune favors the Bears.
I could also see Johnson deciding to stick with Detroit, like he did last year.
Bears are too highLooks like you're right.
Adam Schefter: Per multiple league sources, this is currently how Ben Johnson is ranking his choices:
1. New England
2. Returning to Detroit
3. Las Vegas Raiders
4. Jacksonville Jaguars
5. Retirement
6. Suicide
7. Chicago Bears

Do NE and Chi have to fight to the death for the #10 pick? One thing that helps the Bears is the other available HC jobs are not super appealing.

Correction. NE has the fourth pick. Thanks for catching my mistake.Do NE and Chi have to fight to the death for the #10 pick?
Where’s he going smart guy?Let’s be honest, this franchise doesn’t have the capability to get top candidates. Get ready for Joe Brady or Anthony Weaver.
I wasn't following the Chiefs then, but the story is he was calling plays and then he wasn't. with Trubisky running things, the 2018 Bears offense did have its share of brilliance. it's too bad Trey Burton was a ****.Matt Nagy was considered a top HC candidate when the Bears hired him.
I would put coaching Iraq at 7 and then ChicagoLooks like you're right.
