I actually remember pining for Tomczak. It had less to do with him and more to do with me hating McMahon.

Seriously. Peeps may think I hated Jay Cutler or hate Mitchell Trubisky, but I just consider myself a critic of both.

But I HATED Jim McMahon. It was so real.

So did Hampton... except on game days.

The Charles Martin’s hit list and the start of the Charles Martin curse.

The dirtiest hit in modern day football.

That team would have won the Super Bowl.

How about when Rex got booed and razzed by fans on family night.

How about the phantom hold on Johnny Knox/Hester trick punt return against the packers? To this day that is the greatest trick play design I have ever seen and it was wasted thanks to a terrible call.

Me and Zack were actually at that game. First Bears game at Soldier Field ever.

The video doesn't do this debacle justice. After we score to go up 1 with 11 seconds left, that gutless turd of a man, Lovie Smith directs our ST unit to pooch kick the ball so that they won't have a chance to run it back for a touchdown. Instead, we end up giving them the ball at their own 44 yard line. A much shorter pass than the one they executed would have gotten them into FG range with Jason Elam kicking indoors.

I hate coaches that try not to lose. It is the dumbest strategy in sports.

Not only that, but if the Bears had kicked it into the end zone and it had been returned to the exact same spot that it did, there would have been only enough time to run a single play! I was so pissed after that game.

Lovie squibs it at the end of the game, I was 12 rows back from that. As the play unfolded, I thought with horror that they just blew the game. Which they did, which ended up keeping the Bears out of the playoffs

Lovie should have taken Sundays off.
