As usual you miss the point. Portillo's food is overarrated and marketed toward tourists and noobs that dont know better. Their hot dogs are rubbery, fries are horrible hard plastic and frozen. Burgers are cooked beyond recognition. Try asking for medium or med rare and they will say they only cook them well done. If you have low standards dont blame me, shit for brains

You still have the palate of a goat.

You were so wrapped up in defending McDonalds workers (in another thread), I merely asked if you worked there. You didn't deny it. Therefore, It was assumed you did.
I since have found out that you are a union thug for the IBEW, something you apparently have bragged about in the past.
Damn proud of being in the IBEW. You didn't have to have a private stalker chat with @truthbedamned to find out what I do, could of just asked me.

It isn't like we have not discussed what union we were and are in numerous times in numerous threads. Nothing nefarious here.

Hot dog stands of my youth:

Wolfy's
Fluky's
Hot Dog Island
Gene & Judes (bring your own ketchup for the fries)
Hot Doug's (post-youth)

Currently: Top Dog (in Berkeley), and once every couple years when I'm back in the Chi, the mighty Portillo's.

Not a big hot dog person but liked (probably already mentioned) Hot Doug's, Odge's at Damen just south of Chicago ave, and what is now Fat Lou's at Oakley and Chicago ave, just because they were close. I am not worried about being sunbizzed because I live nowhere near there any more.

Seems like it will be blasphemy here, but fresh cut saggy fries are ass...

I can get a good Vienna beef hot dog with the proper fixings at a lot of places, same with a good burger.

The make or break for me is the fries: cooked in fresh oil, just enough to be crisp outside, soft inside, served blazing hot and unsalted ( I add just a touch to taste.)

So many places get it wrong, but I have a mental catalog of places near me that are on target with their fry business.

There's a little dive on Sauk Trail in Richton Park, IL called Athens Gyros that has perfected the fry art...I swear they change the oil out completely with every batch of fries cooked, as I've never had anything but the lightest, perfect fries every time I've eaten there.

This, right here, is a nuclear truth bomb.

Yeah, great place. Real fries and bunch tamales in a corn wrap. Corn silk wrapped tamales are a real indication of old school hot dog stands

Speaking of tamales, there is a tamale sandwich in Chicago called the Mother-In-Law. It's a tamale in a hot dog bun with chili, cheese and onion. The cool places offer this
