I was the 2nd fucking post, man!
I was the 2nd fucking post, man!
That post is the whole reason we're even talking about Sale in the first place.
What question of yours did I ignore?
Quintana has an awful 8 game sequence going.
Argument is over.

Q is one of the top ten pitchers in the AL. Sale is the best pitcher in the AL. If Shields comes through, the starting pitching is going to be formidable in the 2nd half. Rodon as a 4th starter is pretty damn good. They still need a bat!
You're basing EVERYTHING on FIP? Whose FIP? Fangraphs?
That's an odd stat to decide to push all your chips in regarding pitching assessment considering nobody seems to calculate FIP the same way. And in the end; you want to go by a "defense independent" stat while choosing a guy who clearly has a higher walk rate (logic tells you - that puts more pressure on defense).
A comprehensive look at all the numbers together show pretty clearly the Sale is the best in the AL.
Salazar, Estrada are pitching at his level.
But Sale has done it much longer, and is the "MOST VALUABLE" pitcher in the A.L. unquestionably.
MVP performance tonight. 8 runs in 5 IP
Excellent pitchers have rough starts just ask Lester and TCU Jake.
Right on. One other thing that doesn't show up in the stats is that Sale was the stopper when the Sox were floundering. Having a guy come in and stop a losing streak when your team is in a funk means a lot to a ball club.
