This week I think the greatest song ever is “it’s not unusual” by Tom Jones

Pretty much anything by Huey Lewis
Its incredible how almost every song from Huey Lewis/News "Sports" and Van Halen's "1984" album became hit singles. It was like if you made a video for MTV, your song was guaranteed to be successful.
This song started it all for me - The song that saved me from the horrible state of hip hop.
That list I did above hit a brick wall for the last two decades because hip hop >>>> rock music in the 21st century.
You all lost me at the "screamo" wave and never won me back.
Oh i don't listen to any new stuff either (the latest i listen to is the 90's grunge stuff - which i love) but had plenty to discover being that i was a hip hop fan my whole life until i got bored with it.
And here I was hoping you could recommend some good new stuff, but that says it all. The screenname should have clued me in.
Underground Hip-Hop is doing the most interesting stuff these days....may be a good time to dip a toe in the pool.
(Underground Hip-Hop Thread pending???)
Locksmith is pretty damn good. Kayslay on Shade45 does a pretty good job finding people, but I never really have time to take note of names. Locksmith was easy to remember.
Did you peep out the track I dropped in your playlist thread? She is my absolute favorite thing in the world right now.
