At this point there are really only 3 teams that the Bulls could realistically play in the first round.

Raptors
Nets
Wizards

Of the 3 who do you think is the best or worst matchup for the Bulls.

I think the worst matchup is the Raptors. Lowery has the size and strength to expose DJ. They have athletic wings. Johnson is long and athletic and players like him tend to give Boozer a harder time. I think Lowery could really hurt the Bulls in the 4th quarter if DJ was on the floor and with DJ off the floor the offense may get very stagnant.

I think the Wizards are the best matchup for the Bulls. They don't have a lot of athletics at the 4/5. They are a streaky 3 point shooting team and Wall has not developed a consistent jumpshot. The Wizards don't have the playoff experience of the nets either. lastly, I don't think the Wizards play well enough in the half court on either side of the ball.

What are your thoughts?

Raptors in the first round? We have the same record and IIRC their SOS is slightly more favorable than ours.

Right now we play Brooklyn, Washington, or Charlotte. The Wizards is the best for us. I think Charlotte is a sleeper that can pull of an upset. Brooklyn has been a pretender team all year, and who knows if that veteran leadership will put it into another gear in the playoffs. It seems like the Nets had to put it into their playoff gear just to be where they are at now. That still doesn't mean I would think they are going to be an easy first round.

I really hope the Bobcats stumble a bit and face the Pacers. The Knicks Face the Heat, the Raptors face the Nets, and the Bulls face the Wizards. I think that is the most favorable to us.

Basically. However, some of these favorable matchups are going to be a long shot.

#1(or 2) Indiana #8(or 7) Charlotte
#2(or 1) Miami #7(or 8) New York
#3(or 4) Toronto #6(or 5) Brooklyn
#4(or 3) Chicago #5(or 6) Washington

Atlanta is a sitting duck in the 8th spot now, and I really think they will fall out.

I think a lot of team would be scared to play the Nets. I know they are old, but them old dogs still know how to hunt.

Yeah....the Nets are a Wisdom concern and its like playing our twin. I prefer not to but I am not afraid of them either. The Raptors or anybody that can shoot 3's and mess up our effeciency is dangerous to us. The Spurs are probably the worst matchup in the league for us because they play defense when they want, have a lock down defender, drain 3's from the best spread offense, and have a PG that can shoot in the lane floaters over Boozer all day long while he screams at them.

I hope we play the Wizards as well. Matchup wise we should win this series in 4 or 5.

The Nets are a sleeper in my eyes, although I think we would beat em in 6.

IF yall play the Pacers this playoffs, it may be one of the lowest scoring playoff series in history. Lol Random Thought

I actually don't know what the record is. The Pistons and Celtics from 2002 is the lowest I can think of.

I don't think we'll have a problem handling any of our potential first-round opponents. The second round is what I'm more concerned with. The Pacers have had a real problem scoring as of late (haven't eclipsed 100 points in their last six games) and if their primary scoring option is Paul George, his efficiency needs to skyrocket. Right now, I'd rather play them. Between us, the Pacers and the Heat, we're all similar in terms of defensive ability. The key is Miami is the only team that can really open it up on offense, due to their ability to space the floor. Oh yeah, and LeBron. The salvo for us and the Pacers is that we have two guys that can stay competitive against LeBron (PG24, James Buckets), but they still have other guys who can get hot. Plus, I think Spoelstra is a better coach then Vogel, and that will play into at least a handful of games, if we were to play them in the second round.

sums up the situation well and accurately.
