Considering Mason Rudolf had better stats that a Bears QB, I don't think it's a stretch for Trubs to have better stats.
Of course, I'll be rooting for Fields to have better stats, but I have been conditioned by nearly 50 years of history with the Bears.

I am going to pay alot more attention to the second half of the season for Fields. Half of his WRs are going to be new players. New system and staff. Our OC hasn't called a game in the pros yet so there will be a few hiccups there.

Its going to be alot on Fields. I expect him to come into his own somewhat in the second half.

I agree with this, which is why I also believe it will come down to the offensive-line and the play-calling. I actually think the running back room is in decent shape and will thrive running the rock and throwing play-action.

Trubs has the better offense around him and a staff that will play to his strengths and run a lot too. But he also will be playing in a top div with no weak teams.
Fields will be playing in the weakest div and we don't know how the coaching and strategy will go yet.
Ok go nuts. I expect 100 negs and I don't care at all.

Make your guess.
I think Trubs will put up better numbers and be a probowl alt.
I think they will both do reasonably well, Mitch is in a better situation and play ok to solid, Fields will take a few games with new O and play caller and team mates but plan will be designed for his strengths. 1st half of season Mitch will do better but 2nd half Fields will come on strong and has a very ceiling. I take fields.

This is the bears we’re talking about…of course Mitch will have better numbers than fields. That would just be so bears for it not to happen

It's comical now...but I remember a few posters defending this in 2018, good sir. ?

That was largely driven by his 3rd down conversion success which was driven by his scrambling. Something he stopped doimg after the injury. As strictpya passer, he was not graded very high.

Agreed. We have a solid RB and a solid backup in Herbert. The OL will take some time to gel.

I suspect teams are going to stack the box on us and Fields is going to have to make pre-snap reads and adjustments.

Definitely will be opportunities for Fields to make big plays down the field and teams are going to continue to pressure us at the line as well as stack the box until we can complete big plays downfield.

This, as well as it was Nagy's first year and he had success with some gimmick plays before the league realized that he was a complete joke.

Fields. Because Mitch will be the backup when the Steelers trade for Baker Mayfield.

I don't think that will happen, but man what great intra-division drama if it did.

Are we 12? It's a post on our old high profile QB vs our new high profile QB. Try and talk football every once in a while since you are coming to a football forum.

If they wanted Baker they would have him already.

No. I'm sure most teams are waiting for the Browns to either release or have the price go down on Baker. He'll probably move after the draft

There was also reports they're interested in the top rookie QBs

Fun Fact. Baker Mayfield and Mitchell Trubisky have nearly identical career QBRs.
