I'm also in the no spinach crowd. The texture and neutral taste of iceberg lettuce is necessary to offset the saltiness of the bacon. If I'm eating a BLT, not worried about the nutritional value. The avocado however is definitely a nice addition. Anyways...

To me, a great BLT (or any sandwich for that matter), is all about the proportion, quality, and layering of components. This looks like an absolute disaster for the sake of "more bacon".
Some people appreciate the excess. I prefer refinement

Pepper the bacon when you cook it. Comes out great. Especially with freshly grinded peppercorns. I'm also not a regular mayo person, so I either mix it with ground chipotle powder when I want a nice kick, or I go with a little bit of ranch.

Skillet? Oven is the best was to get the perfect crispness and zero clean up!

Yeah, there's that too. I don't make bacon too often (not enough) and it's been a long time now. Next time, I will definitely try the oven. The spattering and clean up is mostly what kept me from making it.

ETA: There's a Polish Deli nearby that has REALLY thick slices. Might have hit that tomorrow.

ETA: There's a Polish Deli nearby that has REALLY thick slices. Might have hit that tomorrow.
425 at 15 min. Line a baking sheet with foil. No clean up, just throw away the foil in the trash!

Line you baking sheet with tin foil. Once done, fold that shit up and dump in the trash. Done

I spoon out all my bacon grease and create bio diesel fuel for my tractor. Any grease that's left, I mix with tangerine peel for a bacon tangerine beard balm.

Wake up bro.

I like to craft candles with bacon grease and corn chip crumbs from the bottom of the bag. using the foil as a mould, and a candle holder.

If I am not in the bacon tangerine beard balm mood, I like to use the left over bacon grease with some pineapples to create a tropical sun tan lotion.
