Denver will be bad this year. We will find out in a few years on Nix. He never did much in college to impress me. But I don’t have a strong claim really one way or the other as I never studied him or anything as I knew the Bears were never drafting him.

Again all I was pointing out was SP wasn’t there for the Russ trade. This isn’t me staking a claim on Nix or anything.

People are falling for nix right now because he had a strong preseason.

Pretty much every rookie QB has a good rookie preseason. I don't expect him to be good, just more mediocrity for denver.

I’m much more interested in Nabers. That’s the guy I put my CCS GM reputation behind. 😂

I think that means that someone who isn't a Bears staff member believes that Poles liked Nix better that Penix.

That sounds like a fairly common opinion. You'd have a better topic for us to consider had you compared daisies to petunias (insider info, Poles favorite flowers are irises and petunias were never really a contender)

He could have four good games and 13 lousy ones and he'll be considered to have had a strong rookie season. Suppose Williams and Daniels look like the first rounders they are billed as, the rest of the rookie QBs struggle where they are able to start. Nix just needs to give the Broncos hope for the future and something to grow on and he'll be called the third best, and all anyone wants to talk about for the off-season

“Most draft analysts had Williams as the best quarterback in the 2024 draft, followed by Jayden Daniels. Drake Maye was considered the third-best quarterback. After Maye, Michael Penix Jr., J.J. McCarthy, and Nix were considered first-round talent, but their rankings differed on scout’s draft boards.”

i was using that in the same context as the above paragraph. I edited for clarity.
And did said editing poorly.
