I’m not sure what you are referring to here. Barnwell ranked the Bears 17th and most don’t disagree with him. But you aren’t clear in what you believe versus what Barnwell conveys. Barnwell states that Moore will help Fields and not that way you state it. So which is it?

I'm not picking a fight but I guess you want to.

How exactly is this a fight? I asked for clarification. You are the writer that posted an opinion that was poorly structured that one couldn’t actually decide what Barnwell wrote and what you believe. Please clarify for everyone.

DJM will make Fields better FOR SURE. And I think DJM will do very well here. Mooney is going to be a very nice WR2 and I think Claypool will have his moments. People are sleeping on Scott, too.

ARob was supposed to make Mitch better. Muhsin Muhammad was supposed to make Orton/Grossman better - we just don't know. It wouldn't be the first time a big name FA's overall body of work was disappointing in Chicago.

You can say the same thing for every organization. If you are insinuating that no other organization in this league has been let down by a big free agent acquisition, I’m not sure what to tell you. Trubisky & Grossman just never had it. No receiver was ever going to make that happen. Those 2 were at their peak in their 2nd year. Fields clearly isn’t; the only question is how high his passer ceiling will get.

Alright bro you know I understand and have defended your position of "They're not good until they prove it." I'm decidedly more optimistic than you, but as a long-time Bears fan who's been watched this team's foibles, I do understand. But skipping over when the Bears signed Brandon Marshall to help Jay Cutler and they went on to have the number 2 offense in the league seems misleading.

You are correct; I skipped Brandon Marshall on purpose.

I was responding to this statement: DJM will make Fields better FOR SURE.

So I presented examples from our past were many fans thought improvement was "FOR SURE" and it didn't work out. IMO, for the Bears, it usually doesn't for one reason or another.
