Wouldn't be surprised either way. I don't think they'll use spring training stats to evaluate him heavily, but if he can't make contact with belt high fastballs that scrubs are "working on" then I guess we panic :lol:
It's kind of a philosophical thing. Do you let your most MLB-ready prospect suck it up at MLB and torpedo whatever value he might have had in a trade, or do you let him develop some more at AAA to make sure he's worked out the kinks in a hitter-friendly environment before bringing him up?
Either way, best of luck to him. Really cool guy, just needs to strike out way less.
