I worked at Macys for 10 years. But never had to open on black friday..usually a later shift or 3 hours after the initial blow.
Still ugly though lol

I was in total shock what the hottest item of the year was. It wasn't electronic, it was a simple blanket. A weighted blanket that Target was selling. I got the only 2 the store I went to and many didn't have any for Black Friday as they sold out as the regular price on Wednesday. So very weird.

There's been minimal savings. It's like a couple bucks off of a hundred. Or offering 20% off orders over $50, which come along every couple of weeks anyway. Not that I was looking for anything.

Taft had a sale, so I was able to get $50 off a pair of shoes I was eyeing for my cousins wedding.
