Harbaugh would be able recreate whatever Eberflus did while being a better tactician and developer of players.
And he would probably be able to bring in much better coaches than the Bears have.

All you have to do is watch the games to see that they are not good either.
Watch the offensive line with Bagent playing vs with Fields playing. I am not saying Bagent is a better QB than Fields or anywhere mear close to that, but Bagent got the ball out much quicker and took very little sacks due to this. A QB can make an offensive line worse than it is. Its not a great offensive line but Fields style of play makes it look worse than it is.

Just wait and see what happens with the current situation.

If it doesn't work out in a couple of years, they can hire Harbaugh and draft the top quarterback then.

This was a playoff team without those tough losses. No reason to make any changes to a playoff team. I'm scared it might not work out if there's any change.
Yeah, but those top QBs usually only come once in a blue-moon for a team, not every year like the Bears, and the franchise head coaches are even less common because they end up having 15+ year careers with a team, making them unavailable for the whim of a team to get around to hiring him.

Or, to summarize, the Bears get the John Fox's of the world instead of the Belichick's of the world as their 'franchise' HC.

And bagent also barely got the ball downfield.

Its not a recipe for success. Nothing wrong with getting the ball out quickly but every good QB big play hunts.

Commanders are moving very quickly with their moves.

We basically need to make our move before the Michigan - UW game is over.

Don't really see the point in dragging this out. What are we even deliberating?

You are assuming someone is getting fired.

No one is, lol.

bagent would’ve threw INTs due to dbs jumping routes. I can almost guarantee that. An offense has to stretch the field to make dbs think about jumping routes. Also his arm strength is dubious.

Excuse me but Lovie actually earned his good graces with this organization. He was a very successful coach here.
... who said that 'we get off the bus running' and whose OC abandoned the run game the second he got off the bus.

Sack numbers don't tell the whole story

His first game was against the Panthers, which wasn't a good D at the time
He threw 3 picks against the Saints, and was sacked twice, not a good game
His production against the Chargers was after the game was lost
He didn't have to throw that much against the Raiders once the game was in the bag

Fields is not good at plays that need quick processing. All the people who want Getsy to call quick plays that get the ball out—Fields doesn’t look good on those. He either doesn’t pull the trigger, or he gives an errant throw.

Fields likes long-processing plays, which is a problem, because everything he does takes too long. Too long to process. Too long to diagnose. Too long to pull the trigger. Too long to throw the ball after he decides to pull the trigger.

The CHGO guys went over this post-game last night. Quick 1-read plays don’t work with Fields, because he takes too long with everything.

It already happened his final game, DB's were jumping anything outside the numbers.

So weird we are still talking about fields. Thought we all agreed he's gone at this point?

Isn't this a coaching thread :O
I have a feeling he will be back next year. Same with the coaching staff.
