Yeah it'd be nice to have home ice, but it's overrated. Seeding really doesn't matter too much in the NHL playoffs. And you're always going to dress pretty much an AHL team the very last game, so what difference does one more game really make? Especially seeing as who they're playing and knowing how that team plays.

I'm not certain that is the case this year, that's the case when you've got an AHL team out of the playoff picture, but I don't think many of those folks will be playing in the game Saturday as Rockford plays Saturday. Maybe for that game but the typical black ace call ups I don't see happening in that high drove.

The only Home Ice Series the Hawks have lost in Q's time was just this last series against the Kings... every other loss WCF to Detroit, Phoenix, or 10-11 1st round Cauncks series were road serieses.

Again, it's nice to have but I don't know, I'm not exactly worried about this Hawks team, you know the one that set the franchise record in road wins, and their ability to win on the road. I just don't think it'll be the difference between them advancing or losing out.

I think in this situation the very real risk of someone like Toews' head being put into orbit outweighs only a potential reward in which you're still depending on other teams to lose, you don't have complete control over it.

Honestly, I'm not predicting a huge push in these next two games...yeah, we could win the division or home ice or whatever, but I think the attitude is to just to go out and get injured.

Comparing the replays of the Buff cross check and the Backes cross check, Buff definitely set the benchmark with his. I remember during the 2010 cup run a Vancouver player doing the same thing to Buff while he was down, with no call while the ref stood right there looking on.
