Yeah it'd be nice to have home ice, but it's overrated. Seeding really doesn't matter too much in the NHL playoffs. And you're always going to dress pretty much an AHL team the very last game, so what difference does one more game really make? Especially seeing as who they're playing and knowing how that team plays.
I'm not certain that is the case this year, that's the case when you've got an AHL team out of the playoff picture, but I don't think many of those folks will be playing in the game Saturday as Rockford plays Saturday. Maybe for that game but the typical black ace call ups I don't see happening in that high drove.
The only Home Ice Series the Hawks have lost in Q's time was just this last series against the Kings... every other loss WCF to Detroit, Phoenix, or 10-11 1st round Cauncks series were road serieses.
