It'll probably end up being its own thread I imagine, but am I the only one who doesn't expect supplementary discipline on Seids on Toews? I mean, maybe, maybe Quintal gives him a game at most because it's Toews, but meh...seeing some overreaction on the twitters.

He shouldn't get any games. Two minutes for boarding was the correct call and as far as it should go. Unfortunate end result for Toews (atleast for now) but it was a quick play. I'm sure plenty of Blackhawks fans are calling for his head, but that is typical and also ridiculous.

Everytime I think I understand how the league will punish a hit I end up being way off base, so I'm giving up on that front.

Just saw the 2nd Boston goal again... I don't really have a problem with Shaw being himself and hitting Lucic a little late or fighting beyond the scrums. The issue is he blew the play defensively and locked onto hitting Lucic for some dumb reason. Just backcheck the open Krug man; and I saw people on twitter complaining of bad D by Rozy for the play. He's being out-muscled for the puck by a far better play so what, Rozy wasn't the one leaving a player wide open.

Well, best part of that was it re-directing me to see a Beach vs Brendan Smith fight from the AHL. Good to see that Smith getting battered around a bit in honor of the big game from Ben Smith.

It shouldn't be that hard to put your fandom aside and look at what actually happened. No reason to call for his head. Blackhawks don't have to be thrilled with the hit but this is the game of hockey. It is a fast paced, hard hitting type of game. Seidenberg is a clean player with no reputation for what happened. The fans tend to overreact when Toews, Kane, etc is touched or even breathed upon.
