I don't know what the hell Pat is doing anymore. I hope it's just the bad hockey bringing out the worst in him.

I was yelling at the TV like an idiot when he continually called first Phoenix goal tonight (the wrap around) "a bad bounce". It was a hustle play and Vrbatta flat out beat the Hawks. Pat pulled this bad bounce shit when talking about Crawford a few games back and continues to make excuses for bad play. It's gotten to be laughable.

Love Pat and I don't give a shit about homers, but the stupidity being spoken as if it was a fact is getting to me.

I found that turning off the sound, and if I needed to hear anything put on some tunes... viewing hockey is something that if you do it enough, there is no reason to think that what you're seeing and thinking is any less valid than in many cases some clown that never played anyway.

I remember Gary Thorne in the 90's on ESPN talking about a Vancouver - Detroit, regular season game - ask the rhetorical qustion: "Could this be a preview of the Stanley Cup Finals?"

Uh, no Gary, they're in the same conference (except no on said that...) [not so hidden message: what hope do you have when something basic like that happens?]

This just occured to me - it might actually be a "medical condition" - call it Harry Cary Syndrome -and it hits at what point you can't take Harry doing his trademark home run call for infield fly rule balls any more as it becomes increasingly clearer that the man has lost it.
