We have a good group over here, and will only get better with the new additions from IHN, welcome aboard again to all of you guys. Out of all the other forums here, Hawks board seems to be the most civil, very rarely any attacks on each other like you would see in the Bears section on a hourly basis.

I bet if the Hawks lost B18 would have came out of hiding though. He's just waiting for a cold streak.

Message to all IHN newcomers: dislike B18 whenever. That is all.

How does the reputation work here?

I see the "thanks" button and the star button to the right of it. What's the difference?

How do you dislike someone? Not seeing it... maybe its because I'm a new poster.

And trust me... I have learned to stay far away from the Bears boards on any website. Talk about fat, mustachioed, dumbass superfans. I find myself losing braincells instead of arguing.

My troll Twitter handle is @ANGRYSUPERFAN. I post in all caps and in a dumb southside superfan accent.

If you go to your settings page you'll see a "rep power" above the posts you've thanked and a "total rep" above the posts you've been thanked in. Each "Thanks" is the equivalent of 1 rep. As you build rep, your rep (or dislike) power grows as well.

I.E. Currently I have 13 rep power. If I was to "thank" a post, the poster would still receive just 1 rep. If I was to positive rep a post, the poster would receive 13 rep. If I was to negative rep a post, the poster would lose 13 rep. Make sense?

The star next to the thanks button is how you use both the rep and the dislike. There is an approve or disapprove selection screen when the star is clicked (approve=rep, disapprove=dislike). You can also leave a comment along with either that will show up as a notification to the user. Keep in mind that you can only give out so much thanks, reps, and negs in a 24 hour period before you are only allowed to thank posts.

Happy disliking! :)

Hawks board is so much better than the Sox board. Just got blasted for being a Cubs fan. At least there is one place on this board where people act like civilized humans (and talk about hockey in the meantime).

Nah, I'm just messin' with you, Deebs. In reality, I actually approved the shit out of your post lol. So, if my "rep power" is 25, that means I just gave you 25 points; which, in turn, is equivalent to giving you 25 "thanks" at once?

So, I missed the first-half of the game, and wasn't able to watch the rest as closely as I would've liked. Did Q leave the top-6 intact? I thought I saw Sharp out with the third line, but I'm not for certain.

Bickell scored a goal and was on the 2nd line briefly. Other then that... it looked like Q went against the odds and kept them intact.

Wow so much action in this thread. Sadly I could only watch about a period between mid 1st and mid 2nd...and that was only sparingly as I was at dinner. I did get to see the tying goal which was cool.

I have no hockey insight to add because I am noob.

So Sharpie was on the third-line then? See how I put that together? Can't get anything past me lol.

Be careful.

Nice to see the Blackhawks defeat the Albany Devils tonight.

The game was fantastic. as a hockey fan that Tootoo goal was prefect execution. What a pass off the boards, that would have any coach fapping.
Edit: still a Hawks fan

You are familiar with my "Teach me about hockey" thread. That's probably where most of my questions will be asked.

I'm always conflicted between watching the Hawks and the Bulls since their games seem to overlap frequently, but I try to watch as much hockey as I can. Unfortunately, up to this point it has not been much. As the season goes on I will watch more though, that's been the trend the past few years.
