Stan is not popular among Blackhawks fans. Loathed.
I'd even say they are three years burning disgruntled and many have tuned out.
I defended Stan Bowman way too long. I cannot be silent about his blundering mistakes any longer. The guy has some hockey sense which makes it so frustrating, and leadership skills, and team building...
but then he throws 3-4 complete bonehead moves on top of every off-season.
This year its the goalie situation, or the planned volunteered flushing of NTC's...
Thats really my only hope in their competence, all togehter...isn't that the rub?
Bowman is either incompetent or the plan is to piss off Toews/Seabrook/Keith/Shaw into requesting trades.
No data man, no hockey man, no competent man can look me in the eyes and go into a season with Suppan as their starting goalie to this point in his career.
We didn't even look at him last year once. Kane saw a flash in practice.
They realize Lehners goals per game declined considerably in Las Vegas right? Have they compared Lehner and Suppan numbers with the same exact defense?

Why the **** are they putting Bowman on Hockey Ops? So he and daddy can work closer together? It's just one less check-and-balance between the GM and Hockey Ops.

This is best case scenario, which is still scary because Bowman is still within the organization. He needs to be completely removed, not just demoted.

This course of action is going to cost this team, the inept ability of Rocky is very reminiscent of his father, Rocky doesn’t have the balls to send Stan packing, I am not sure why, it has been clearly documented Bowman has decimated this team that once, only a short time ago, the example and footprint for all franchises to follow. The Chicago Blackhawks are now a joke, like all Chicago teams, the failure to part with Gms is mind boggling and confusing to say the least.

Agreed, but look how it worked for getting Steve Walkom off the ice. Sometimes you just have to let the Peter Principle/Dilbert Principle work for you. Get the incompetence out of the workflow.
The team has been fucked for awhile now. Trying to be the bloody ray of fucking sunshine that I am, I think getting a GM who has something of a hockey mind and is not a Benacounter by trade might be a good thing.

I don't think so. He has neither the brains or balls to make such a move. I've been saying for awhile now that Scottie Bowman is the guy behind the curtain making a lot of decisions.....but apparently I was wrong, he's making ALL of the decisions.

We all better just pray at this point that mcgrinch was more hands on than even we thought and just constantly getting in the way. Then somehow this finally frees something or some tension that all works out.
