Blackhawks FO changes..

What's in a name? In this case....what's in a title? In this case a LOT!
Anyone who thought there was anything 'interim' about 'Prince Daniel' was delusional,blood's thicker than water and the 'lucky sperm club' is now deeply entrenched......DEEPLY. Rockwell's at an age where he has other business empires and he has put his son in charge of the Chicago Black Hawks,a CEO title is a BIG deal.
SB's shiny new title is a big deal too,not only will he remain GM,he'll be in charge of every aspect of hockey opps now with not a single superior with a shred of hockey opps knowledge.
I believe the two patriarchs 'Rocky' and 'Scotty',stay in touch and I believe Scotty holds much sway with his fellow patriarch Rocky. I can hear it now.....'Just put your boy in charge Rocky,look how well my boy's worked out for ya'.........this does not end well!
Jamie Faulkner may indeed have the chops to be a VP of business/marketing and I wish her all the best but the title of president is rather lofty in this instance too.........good luck keeping the barn full young lady.

Calling it:

After this coming season (if it happens) Stan is percussively sublimated up to hockey ops and hockey ops alone after he's forced to hire a new GM (or be fired)

Honestly, I never understood how Stan became so well-entrenched within the organization. What the **** is so great about this guy that the org continues to coddle him?

I can't believe they are evidently leaving the decision to the current GM as to whether or not they'll bring in a new GM in the future -- that is the utter definition of fucked.

It's hard to know what a FO that says one thing and does something even stupider will ever do in the future but the title of Pres of hockey opps holds a shit ton of power with only a Millennial,liquor salesman as a superior. I'm just not excited about the prospect of SB picking the next GM or about SB's ability to leave his replacement alone if there is one.

I've always believed that Rocky had and still has great reverence for Scotty and therefore Scotty has always held sway over organizational decisions. Scotty didn't like DT,berated him and saw him in the way.......DT was gone. Scotty sent Burry Smith in to run the PP before Q ran him back out so Scotty had little use for Q too.....Q was also gone.
Scotty must have seen McD as an impediment to his nitwitted son's ascension to his new lofty title so .......McD was gone too.
Is there ANY doubt that Rocky has imparted this wisdom on his progeny?
The Chicago Black Hawks have been a patriarchal organization for longer than than an old **** like me can remember. Arthur spawned 'Dollar Bill' and he procreated Rocky who has now anointed his son to the highest level of team management just like Scotty has strong armed his baby boy to the next highest level. What can possibly go wrong?

I won't disagree, but this move has "Peter Principle" written all over it from where I sit. Maybe it's a "placate Scotty while he's alive and kicking but still get him out of the bulk of the workflow. Who knows. I can see this going pear-shaped, but I also can see this as a way a GM can come in and stop the bleeding--especially since it's fully possible with the 'hawks recent woes that the sellout ends.
