We'll win this one. We've outshot each of our last two opponents, so we aren't playing as bad as the record suggests. Whoever in net is playing for their lives, they'll have to step it up a notch or we'll go get a new goalie soon (hopefully we do either way).

Toews has a big game.

Still no #4 or #5?

With Lepisto looking serviceable lately, Id feel pretty ok if they could get montador and meatball back too. O'Donnell was a nightmare against Nashville last night.

I want to believe this, but I can't. Not that Toews hasn't put this entire team on his back before (see: late 3rd period of Game 7 in Vancouver), but I think he's playing with an injury and he's simply not capable of being the player we've known and love in the last four years.

I'd like to see Kane and Hossa light it up one night to get the Hawks a win. Maybe even put them on a line together. They're much healthier than Toews and Sharp are.

Total shots on net can be misleading. The hawks have been taking a lot more shots, but they have not been of quality.

Has it been something like 10 years since they've won at MSG?

So dumb.

How do you go from having Frolik/Morrison on the 1st line one night to being a healthy scratch the next? There is no way in hell Scott helps the team win more than a Frolik/Morrison.

I hope Scott asks Rupp to fight and Rupp gets to tell another "player" that they are fucking irrelevant to the outcome of the game and there is no use in fighting them.

I think it is more like Q saw the hawks played MUCH better the other night, so why mess with something that was working

Lundquist out is HUGE...we need to end this streak tonight

Only issue with that is that the Hawks still lost and Scott had nothing to do with the defense/team playing better.

Scott is an absolute waste out there.

It makes no sense how Q puts Morrison on the PP and Frolik on the PK...then all of a sudden he sits them for Scott. I know the special teams isn't great right now but that makes absolutely no sense.

I hear ya, but when they are in such a slump, im ok with the "Go with what has been working lately" approach

you cant deny that they were better the other night...give that lineup another chance

Isn't that a little like going to Vegas and putting a bet down that the Cubs won't win the World Series?

Edit: Actually Lundquist being out is more like an insult- as in they don't reckon they need the guy - so can give him a rest .... welcome to the world of the Columbus Blue Jackets... (again).

If you're not going to play Frolik or Morrison, I really don't see why the Hawks aren't bringing Hayes back up to play at forward. I'd take him over Shaw.
