Hawks actually clinched a playoff berth last night. But they're a point behind Colorado and the Avs have one game in hand. Can't afford to give away any more points.

Pittsburgh has no defense. Perfect team to bounce back from. Think this game could be a 5-4, 6-5 type of game (which now means it'll be a 1-0 snorefest).

What's the love affair with Morin. He's showed about nothing in his 20 or 30 callups....I take that back. He HAS shown something. He's shown he's NOT an NHL player. He's just one of many unproductive stiffs that'll be moved this off season. Hopefully in some sort of a package to bring a damn goalie here.

Back in the day there was kind of an unwritten rule where the star players got a bit of a free ride because if you took out one team's star then it was open season on your star. Now the Hawks should be head-hunting on Crosby....BUT, they won't. Players used to police themselves but those days are long gone.

I get that, but the whole eye-for-an-eye thing is overrated, IMO. Say that Bollig takes out Crosby. Then you have a shitty defenseman and a borderline AHL player taking out two of the league's best players. I'd rather see them two in the game than a line brawl.

I don't think you do. It's not done anymore and that's why these talented players sit while the hacks skate on. The whole point was to keep the best players playing. The players knew where their bread was buttered....now they have to rely on a dufus like Shanahan. Unless the punishment matches the crime, it's pointless. No matter what Shanahan does, come playoff time Oprik will be playing...Crosby will be playing.....Toews will be sitting.
