Scary thing is that he wasn't/isn't even our top prospect.
they are deep bro. this can turn into a dynasty if bowman doesnt get stupid
Great game last night.
Saad is gaining patience and confidence every game, thought he turned in one of his best games last night. Hossa, Kane, and Toews helped lead the way big time. Leddy also turned in a very solid game. Third line continues to be one of the best in the league, each player has picked it up big time from the first 5 or so games of the season.
Only person who I thought played a "poor" game was Hayes. He just looks out of place and can't keep up with the pace. He has some real nice soft hands for a big guy but his lack of wheels is hurting him big time. Also, don't let that 6'6" frame fool you...he rarely uses it which is a shame.
Monday should be a good game. Duchene is playing great and the Avs have a lot of exciting players to watch.
Not trying to throw is up as an "I told you so" moment but this was part of the reason why I always wanted Saad to stay on the top line with Toews and Hossa. We all saw the talent, and I know you agreed that Saad has some serious potential.
If the team is rolling along and winning as often as the Hawks were/are, then why not leave the youngster up with the those two players and allow his game time to develop? If Saad can get over the rookie mistakes in this regular season, that Saad/Toews/Hossa line is going to be fucking monstrous in the postseason this year.
My issue was never with Saad's talent or potential. I've been a fan of Saad, I just didn't think he complimented Toews/Hossa that well because he was similar to their playing style. Kind of a compliment in a lot of ways. In fact, I think still Saad would be great on Kane's left wing (would help out each players potentially more) because to me those two would compliment eachother immensely. However, no reason to change anything right now as he is doing a better job as of late. He is more patient/confident with the puck. In the early parts he was more of a 1 on 1 player who didn't maximize Toews/Hossa like he should have. Doing better and I'm loving every moment of it...well because I'm a Blackhawks fan.
Haha fair enough. From what I've read/heard that Toews line sounded particularly dominant last night.
Listened to this a bit on WGN Radio. Starting Monday, I'll have cable and have the ability to watch most
of these games
(and Sox games as well).
Motor Boating
They looked great and had some real nice dirty goals in the bluepaint. Hardwork last night by that line and most of the team.
My "concern" is the 2nd line. Kane is just completely dominating and he has been doing it with Hayes/Bolland...impressive. Would love to see Kane get some help so the love can be spread around even more. Kane is a man on a mission this year and if he had a finisher to dish to...watch out. Sharp was even having a down year this year, hopefully Sharp comes back ready and is able to get back to form quickly.
