He was one of the Bruin "black aces" as well during their cup run

Sounds a lot like a player like Stalberg to me... maybe not as fast, but speed is a big part of his game. Could fit in well for us, IMO.

big day for stan the man. conference got tougher today.

i give stan the bennifit of the doubt that he tried to make a current roster move but prices were too high and availability was small. he did well with the icehogs though. nothing wrong with futures.

Glad he refused to overpay for a rental.

Actually I take it back...seems like the Boston fans are pissed on this trade, Ton I stand corrected.

Like I said, could turn out to be a steal... we'll have to wait and see here. Morin had injury issues early in his career too, if Sauve can straighten it out it could be a very good pick-up.

So I take it Flick was a 4th line checking center, more than willing to drop the gloves, is that aboot right? Other than he split time between Rockford and Toledo, don't know much about him. No great loss, and I'd rather have Sauve.

CHI definitely got the better prospect in the deal. But everything hinges on whether the Hawks want to re-sign Suave this summer as he's RFA after this season AND if re-signed, if he can and stay healthy.

Specially when other than a 2nd line Center there are no holes to fill. 27-5-3 what the hell are you trading for?

Only players I would have wanted weren't dealt, and weren't getting dealt.
