This game has gotten way too dangerous. The fact that they still play on RAZOR SHARP SKATES and ROCK HARD ICE is cray cray to me.

I might start a petition to end this madness. It's gone far enough.

Don't need a full cage to protect the most important part of your face. This argument is dead, it's over. It can't possibly be any more evident, especially for us as Hawks fans, to see how incredibly dumb it is to not wear a visor, particularly d-men. We've now two of them this season nearly have career ending injuries because they weren't wearing one. An inch or maybe less separated Seabrook from a few stitches or being rushed to the hospital with his career over. At least it seems as though Hammer finally got the message.

it still blows my mind that you don't think the players should be allowed to chose for themselves.

It also blows my mind that you say "The argument is dead, it's over" and then rattle off your whole fucking argument again.

And had it been a few inches lower, maybe in the neck area... that's death. Ain't no coming back from death.

Will you sign my petition?

That's what the league is there to do. If you let the player's decide everything they wanted, especially regarding this, you'd have a SHIT ton more problems. An absolute shit ton more.

Smart move by Q to play Bickell on the second line, given his past history with the Wild. And Sharp scored one on the third line, too.

Bickell hat trick tonight: a check, a goal and a fall.

I have no problem with it. But if you play without a visor and have a career ending injury that the visor would have prevented, you are shit out of luck. Playing without one is akin to riding a motorcycle without a helmet at this point. Abject stupidity.

Hopefully this scares him into wearing one. Which is what looks like happened with Hammer, unless he's still not completely healed. Any way you want to look at it, it's dumb. From a player's stand point, from a business stand point. Imagine being Rocky or Stan and not having the luck that Hammer and Seabs had and those injuries were the millimeters closer that they needed to be to hit their eyes. They're done-and the Hawks pretty much would be as well. You can't replace those guys. You would've lost two of your best defensemen, two of the better d-men in the league, simply because of stupidity. Possibly forever. I don't understand how people can defend that.

It's an easily preventable injury, just wear a fucking visor. Like Toews says, there's no good enough reason not to wear one.
