Hawks spent a couple days in Vegas after the Sharks game. THAT is why they sucked ass tonight. No way should they be taking field trips to Vegas.

They certainly played like they were hungover.... Dog shit effort all around. Let's hope they blew off some steam, got it out of their system, and will show up to play the next game.

But I'm not going to sit here and forget about them walking into Anaheim within the last week and completely owning the team atop the NHL standings.

Looked like the Hawks couldn't forget about beating the constantly most over rated NHL team based on regular season standings also. Been ridding that high for 2 games now and have managed to score zero goals since.

Yeah, it's been an abrupt downhill slide since that game.

They've got an 8-game homestand coming up. I expect at least 6 wins. Then I'll feel better.

You don't seriously think that Anaheim team is good do you? Don't let the point total fool you. They get demolished almost any time they play a real team. If we were to play them 10 times and we played like how we did tonight in all 10 of them, we would win at least 8 of the games. That team is so easy to beat. All of their goalies suck ass and Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler are easier to shut down than you'd think. And they have no one else that is a serious threat. The Kings are the real threat. They know how to play their best when it really matters. Ducks do not.

Pretty sure they've done this every single year for about 5-6 years, with two Cup victories included in that time span.

I'm not going to say Crawford was fantastic, but I thought he had as good of an outing as anything not a 4'x6' cinderblock wall could have had--he and the 19 players on Minnesota were the onlym ones that looked NHL caliber last night.

All I know is this: if any of us show the level of effort and incompetance that the 'hawks skaters showed last night--our asses would be shitcanned.

You're right, they do tend to choke in the playoffs. But this is the regular season, when Anaheim plays their best hockey. And the Hawks went into their barn and beat the **** out of them with a dominant performance. No one else seems capable of doing that to Anaheim right now, so you can't just write off that win as nothing.

Was it just me or was something wrong with that ice? Just the sound of it cracking as they skated was strange? It also seemed like it was kind of breaking up. Especially in the 1st period when they had a lot of trouble passing the puck in their own end. I turned the game off after the 3rd goal.

The ice looked like shit.
Not sure if there was an event the night before (concert), but usually the surface is decent up there. The ice (bouncing pucks) screwed Toews on the Hossa pass.
What the ice didn't affect were the passes to no one last night. Either broken plays or just plain brain farts on the ice.
Pez would've passed it tape to tape. I guarantee it.

It has more to do with Bruce Boudreau than the team.

I'd have no problem seeing either of those two between the pipes.
Boudreau and the Ducks have seen some collapses in the post season, and I equate it to the Sharks/Hawks in 2010-- it's all about how teams match up.
So... how about those Jets just fall like a stone. K? Thx.
