You can't blame people for doing that.

I understand...but comparing him to Eric Daze is ridiculous.

He had two goals in two games and everyone loved him.

He has great size and he uses it, but he has a lot of flaws that still need to be worked out at the AHL level.

The reason the PP doesn't work anymore is because we have been doing the same thing since winning the cup. We set up a D-man on top and have our forwards and other D-man off to the sides (umbrella) and then from there we work the puck down low and do a stuff attempt or try the back door. Since doing the same PP for years teams have all caught on to our scheme leaving us to improvising on the PP which is something they aren't good at at all. What they need to do is set up several one-time shots at the top of the circles or d-spots to get the goalie moving around and sit Hayes in front then crash the net with other forwards. Yes losing Campbell was a big dent in our scheme and we have yet to find a solid d-man to fit his position, but we shouldn't rely on a position filler we should be worried about movement and shots on the PP.

Frolik and Bickell have not been producing but after watching Frolik's line last night I think there might be some change coming.

How about them rooks though!!!

It is shocking that Frolik and Bickell still get placed on the same line.
Actually, it's shocking that Frolik and Bickell are still even on the team.

Totally agree. Instead of trying to find a guy to take Campbell's place, which there obviously isn't anyone who can, change the system. Try something new.

It has to be pretty obvious to the coaches that what they're doing isn't working anymore. It's not like they only fail against good PK teams, they fail against basically everyone.

Once again...people continue to wrongly give credit to Campbell for why the Blackhawks powerplay is struggling. Look at the stats, look at the time on ice, and if you can - remember how Campbell influenced the powerplay. I think the notion of Campbell being an offensive Dman is flooding people's brains and making them believe Campbell was a huge part of the Blackhawks powerplay the last two years...he WASN'T!

Losing Campbell obviously hurt the Blackhawks overall on the ice (his cap hit was great to get rid of) but Campbell isn't what is wrong/missing with this year's PP.

I miss his defense more than his PP ability honestly. He made Hjalmarsson better. Leddy and Monty would've been a great third pairing.

Campbell

I'm not giving Campbell credit for anything to be honest. His role as a d-man to begin with is win battles down low, which is something that him and a couple hawks don't do, but I don't disagree with my statement. As of now the hawks need to sit Frolik and Bickell, even themselves know that. If you are not producing for the team then you shouldn't be on the ice, it should be a strict rule for this team. For being tied for #1 in the NHL every line should be producing at there best with no questions asked. I am also done with this post because this forum is titled Blackhawks woes when it should be there improvements, the hawks are right where they want to be and improvements are THE only thing needed from right now not dog mouthing what should have been or what they could be. They are #1 and will finish this season with the cup. Sorry for those who don't think so. (which makes you not a true fan in my book)

They need to stop it and they've tried to go sometimes to a fake of it and mix it up but we were all saying that ALL SEASON LONG last year, and it kept working. It took the teams an offseason of watching Louongo make a edge of the pad save on Sharp in game 7 to realize that is the Hawks set PP play.
