Its a bad place to sleep, too. But its your choice.

Cheap is cheap. Ill get what i pay for...

Yes, those are dives, but they are still better than Circus Circus.

And what cab fare are you talking about? Imperial Palace is right next to the Flamingo, which is probably the very best location on the strip. And Excalibur is right on the strip, too.

Have you ever been to Vegas before?
I think he was referring to me staying at circus circus as it is quite off the main portion of the strip

Thats a regrettable choice. Circus Circus is terrible. At the very least try looking at the Imperial Palace or the Excalibur.

Ive stayed at excalibur...i didnt find it too bad.

This was 4-5 years ago tho

1). Better the super garbage yes. Still garbage

2). Clearly I was talking about Circus Circus so the two of you can apologize at any point now

Its old, but I thought the rooms and sheets were disgustingly dirty. Could have just been the room they were trying to give me, but I cancelled my stay and went to Excalibur instead. The Circus Circus location sucks too...I think thats what Brett05 was trying to say.

When I was there just over a year ago Circus Circus was a shit hole IMO. Then again I hated just about everything about my Las Vegas experience.

Yea location is bad, but the closest monorail stop is like a 10 minute walk and then you can get anywhere...

Dirty sheets will be a problem...that stuff grosses me out (on the other hand, it is a hotel...) i will check them for sure

I think we are staying in the skyrise tower...not sure if that is better or worse...lol

What did you do?

Saw the sights and sounds. Walked the strip, went to Fremont St, Did dinner a few places. Didn't gamble(as I don't gamble in general). I was there for work for a week on the company's dime. Vegas might have been nice for a few days or something just to see the place.

A week was way too much. Also, Vegas is not my type of travel destination. Too big, crowded etc. People there are rude, the place feels like it lacks any real culture.

For a Vegas-esque experience I'd rather go to Bourbon St./New Orleans.

If you stay at Circus Circus, if memory serves correctly they have the best breakfast place in Vegas right across the street...the place is called The Peppermill. I would recommend it.

Thanks!

Two places that are great but kinda pricey for breakfast is Crave at Mirage and the buffet at Mandalay Bay. 20-40 per but steak at MB and prime rib at Mirage's cravings
